Trailblazer Award

Dear valued members of our community,

We hope this news finds you well and you’re thriving despite these difficult times, when global events seem to spiral the earth (and everything on it) out of control. We know it has been a challenging time for everyone, however, we are excited to share some news that we hope will lift your spirits and invigorate your shared passion for making a positive impact on the world.

Firstly, we want to express our gratitude to all of you who come together with us. Whether it’s a major announcement or simply to connect with like-minded individuals, we appreciate you all. As COVID-19 restrictions have eased slightly, the THRIVE Project (TP) has resumed funded activities. We have a dedicated team working on this, and we welcome others who share our commitment to join in the effort.

Despite THRIVE being able to operate without funding, and this has been demonstrated over past years, we believe that this can help Thrive’s reach and assist in forging new partnerships. We also believe that everyone at TP can benefit from a funded project that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives and a difference toward the conservation of the environment. This is regardless of your specific area of expertise. What matters most is your passion and experience at TP.

Some of you may remember last year’s discussion about a potential TM conference. While it was initially put on pause by the previous team, Justin and Morris decided to revive it and make a last-ditch effort to bring it to fruition.

We are thrilled to announce that their efforts have paid off. We have been shortlisted to develop and showcase a major international conference in the coming years. This means that an international conference will be brought to Australia. Thanks to the support of the Brisbane City Council (BCC) Trailblazer Award, we will have the resources to make this conference a reality and bring together experts and like-minded leaders from around the world.

As we move forward, we will sit down with the council to explore all of the exciting opportunities available to us. Our team will also conduct research on compelling international events and plan ways to showcase the work of our clusters, research arm, and IT & Data Analytics group.

In short, there is plenty of work to be done, and we are eager to take on the challenge. We look forward to keeping our marketing and social media teams on their toes as we work together to make this conference a success.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and dedication to our shared mission. We could not have done it without you.

Sincerely,

The THRIVE Project
